The Wounded Bird
There is a bird out there right now that few people ever see, they just don’t notice. Men aren’t hunting for this bird and women turn their attention to other species. Ignore or deny, the Wounded Bird still exists and lives and moves among us. You may even know one.
This is the woman who gives so much of herself for those around her that she begins to deteriorate and come apart at the physical, mental and emotional seams. I don’t want to exclude the men, but this is so often manifest in the more emotional woman. As humans, we all harbor a bit of this so don’t feel immune.
Of course, I have a program Living is Giving, but in this scenerio it is a case where Too Much Giving isn’t Living.
People want to give, to be noticed and loved and that is fine as long as you still have balance and self-control in your living and life.
However, you cannot give if you tear yourself down.
True support comes from being strong and healthy not from draining yourself into ill health or poverty. You must learn to take time to heal yourself physically and emotionally.
- Take quiet time to collect your thoughts.
- Stay physically fit and relaxed each day.
- Let others be responsible for their decisions.
Give and support others from your center of strength and balance not by giving away your life, lifeforce and future.
