Polite is Right
During your daily activities there are natural stresses and circumstances that make some of the moments challenging and often not so pleasant. However, one secret skill can open up the responses of those around you in a very positive way.
Most people automatically respond favorably to someone who is reasonable and shows poise and maturity in simple living functions. Holding the door for someone or saying ( thank you ) doesn’t cost you anything and takes almost no time at all, but people generally appreciate the extra effort and sincerity of your thoughts.
Of course, there will always be those who think that politeness is weakness to be taken advantage of. That it is alright and even wise to cut in front of the person who leaves a proper distance between vehicles while driving or there is no harm in cutting into a line in front of those patiently waiting.
These are nothing more than the outward symptoms of imbalance in this person.
Personally I like to hold the door for others, offer a quicker place in line for those with their arms full or possibly to offer to carry a heavy load for someone.
Usually this thought pattern is met with a smile and great appreciation which is magnified by the fact that few live like this in today’s ( get it done fast ) society.
