The Good Chain Reaction
It is important to your self-esteem and sense of value that you contribute in some positive way to your fellow man. Each morning I awake with gratitude. I try to do one good deed for someone each and every day.
This may be as simple as holding a door or offering to carry a heavy load or may take on a slightly more complex form of personal coaching or lending a helping hand with some physical effort. There is always the possibility of a threefold benefit.
- The original good deed you do.
- That person may also do a good deed.
- Someone else may observe and do a good deed.
Each day I awake knowing that what I do may create a chain reaction of good intentions and efforts throughout the day. Simply buying lunch for an elderly person especially if they are a total stranger enriches my living experience in a major way. It will for you too.
