10 Tips Regarding Teenagers

One of my close friends was discussing his teens and his inability to control their behavior recently. Here are some tips that I provided on living with teenagers.

  • Let them learn life lessons from desicions and results.
  • Define your concerns as interest in their wellbeing.
  • Define your rules and expections ahead of time.
  • Define how they should check-in when out.
  • Get to know and invite their friends over.
  • Allow your child to feel guilty at times.
  • Be open to the teenage point of view.
  • Be fair and firm equally with teens.
  • Love children unconditionally.
  • Be a good role model. 

    • Being a good parent sometimes means you must step back and let your teenagers make their own decisions. They are struggling for independence at this time and they must learn the life lessons, both good and bad that come from their decisions and the results of those decisions.
