        psychesocial - Maximizing Effectiveness

The Center of Your Universe

May 22 2008

Ever wonder how someone can break into or walk in front of a line of waiting people without any thought to being rude or insensitive. They can do this without feeling because of the way they judge value.

As humans we are constantly measuring, comparing and judging importance and value and we do so from our personal perspective.

It’s not that people want to be rude they simply judge most things they need or want as more important and urgent than anything someone else might need or desire.

In other words they are self-centered and self-focused.

Be aware that the people around you have needs and desires that they feel are just as important as yours.

The quality of your standards, values and morals is a critical part of your character as a human being.
