There are three key skills that you can immediately and effectively use to make your personal relationships and business associations far better. These skills will have an instant impact and don’t cost you a dime.
1 ) Give far more attention to others than they give to you.
Learn to truly listen and be interested in what people around you think and feel. Don’t spend the moments wondering what is in it for you. The more you give to others the more they are inclined to give back to you.
2 ) Be totally honest and fair with every person.
You want to be around people you can trust and feel at ease with and so do others. When you are fair and honest in every way people gravitate toward you and feel compelled to include you in their activities and living experience.
3 ) Be good for your word.
When people know that they can always count on you to be consistent and follow through they rely on you more. Employers give important positions to key people that do what they say they can and will do. Little hurts your public image and character more than constantly breaking promises and not being supportive when you said you would be.
