Cashing a Written Letter
I get a lot of financial questions, but one curious request that I see often is about the ability to cash a written letter or telegram as a check. In most cases you can cash a written letter or telegram as a check if:
- if it is addressed to the bank
- if it states a specific amount to be paid
- if it defines a specific account to be paid from
- if it defines the payee as the bearer of the letter, or,
- if it defines payment on demand to a specific named person
These important points MUST be met and the bank will reserve the right to confirm and verify that the “check” as issued is valid.

Being Rich and Wealthy
The generous should be rich, and the rich should be generous.
Wealth is more than money, it is a pattern of living with quality and the quality of result one gets from living a higher standard of excellence.
One of the traits I notice most often from the people I meet that are at once the subject of celebrity and social influence is a natural need to help people and give from the heart.
The people who follow a self-centered path and keep their spoils for self often fade away as a forgotten shell of what they once were. Their celebrity status and influence stripped away long before by their attitude to others.
I just returned from a trip to a beach resort today. One of the things I am sure to do is tip well. I tip the maid service each day for cleaning my room and I tip the Bellman well for any help or advice.
