In what will prove to be a total media event the trial of Casey Anthony for the murder of her daughter Caylee draws near as the world watches.

Casey Anthony owes millions of people and especially her parents an explanation of what she did and why. As the grandparents of little Caylee they have a right to know what transpired in those last hours of Caylee’s life.

Will she ever tell? Probably not.

The main reason isn’t that she is so hardened and tough, but rather it is her only solace from immediate admission of guilt and the severe punishment that would follow. Even if convicted she will most likely not “spill the beans” for many years if ever to anyone in jail.

One of the only things that might bring forth an admission of guilt is vanity. Perhaps one day she might be challenged by another that she did not commit the crime and instead was simply riding the actions of another into the media light. Only then might she confess in earnest to prove she was the source of the crime.

I believe justice will be served on Casey in due time, but Caylee is lost. The unfortunate thing in events such as this is that the victim is lost and can never be again. That is especially painful when the victim is a young child because they are so trusting and innocent.

Even worse when the person they trusted and were deceived by was a parent.

And we see more and more of this in the news. Families being destroyed by a parent where all of the members including the children are killed. How desperate, how deranged must reasoning be in order to actually stand point blank looking into the eyes of your children which reflect the disbelief and betrayal as you make the life or death decision?

It is a true moment of personal insanity. A complete loss of control and coherent reasoning.

Casey Anthony walked through that field of thought. She had to make the decision and faced the moment where the life of another, her child, was balanced in her hand. Will she ever tell us what really happened?

The circus is still in town and going strong or is it? In fact, attorneys for Casey Anthony were determined to get a change of venue and take that circus out of town.

By now most people following the Casey Anthony saga have become numb to the pictures of her partying with friends during the summer her daughter Caylee went missing.
